I’ve registered, now what?
Thank you for registering. Just before closing the registrations, we’ll contact you via email
with details about the entry challenge. The entry challenge is to build a simple web or mobile
application based on the requirements given. You can submit that within the mentioned
deadline. We will then shortlist the teams based how well you have built the entry challenge
What happens if my team gets shortlisted?
If you get shortlisted, we’ll get in touch with you over phone and email to make sure you know about that in time. You’ll receive an invite for the event and a dedicated contact person to reach out to with all your queries.
What is going to happen at the hackathon?
We will arrange for you 2 days of excitement, fun and everything else you’d need to convert your idea into an application / prototype. You can build a web/mobile app based on a concept / idea you have on healthcare (including wellness, retail healthcare, fitness, etc). Even if you can't think of an idea right away, that's fine. Our team will reach out to you with a list of problem statements that you can optionally use, to build an idea on. After all, it’s not the idea that matters but what you do with it.
And that’s not all. It’s going to be an open stage to showcase your talents outside your kickass dev skills! There’s going to be games, competitions and an Open stage to showcase your moves and music. We want you to have the “CareStack” way of life for a couple of days.
Who can attend?
You can be 2015,16,17,18 graduates or professionals with 0 -3 years of experience. All you need is an interest to build something from scratch, based on an idea in healthcare. Even if you don’t have an idea don’t worry – we’ll help you ideate.
Should all of us be developers?
We understand that there can be skill contributions to the team in addition to coding skills. We encourage you to have upto 1 non-developer in the team- be it a UI/UX ninja or a product thinker.
How many team members can be in one group?
There can be as many as 4 members but not less than 2.
Do all team members have to register?
One member can register. While registering, you have to provide all the details of your team as per the form. The registration is free.
Do I need to bring my laptop and other device(s)?
Yes, you need to bring your own devices. If, in any exceptional case, there is any hardware or software requirement, the same should be mentioned along with proposal submission, so that it can be arranged prior to the event.
What technologies can I code on?
Anything you’re comfortable with.
Will there be food?
Absolutely! Your meals for the weekend are on the house and there’ll be plenty of snacks and drinks to keep you energized. If you’ve got specific dietary requirements, you should let the event organizers know and they’ll be more than happy to make arrangements
Will I annoy people asking questions?
No, the environment at these events are designed specifically to encourage everyone to have fun and help each other. If you’re ever stuck on anything, please find a volunteer and he/she will help you. We also encourage participating teams to help each other.
What if I don’t want to present my hack?
You might think your project isn’t impressive or it might not be finished so you don’t want to present it. You should present it anyway! Honestly, hackathons aren’t about being the best or being competitive. It’s all about having fun, making friends and learning how to become better at things you care about. Presenting your hack gives you a chance to be proud of what you’ve done, and you should be proud.
How is this hackathon judged?
You need that to be presenting a working prototype of the app you developed. And we judge based on the following criteria: Originality, usability / relevance, UI / UX.
What do I get?
While you get to win a hefty cash prize, learn and network, we believe the most important take-away is the experience itself. Being part of technology events like these, gives you a chance to polish your skills, network, gain insight into new technologies and identify opportunities.
You also get the opportunity to be eligible for an internship or career with the team @ CareStack, if you are interested to be part of an amazing product team building a global SaaS business.
